There are several great online tools you can use to price compare what you are selling, especially if you don’t know much about an item you’re trying to list. Here are a few of the best ones.
Sellhound

Sellhound has a free Price Finder that aggregates prices from Mercari, eBay, Poshmark, Etsy, among others. This one is a personal favorite because our main sites to sell on are Mercari, eBay, and Poshmark. So to see what something is going for on all three marketplaces in one shot is a nice little timesaver.

Picclick’s tagline is “search eBay faster”. That’s exactly what it does. It searches eBay for whatever you’re looking for and gives it to you in a nice grid format. Some say the search is better than eBay’s search. Great tool to research items you’re selling and do price comps.
Collectors

Collectors has a great search that lets you compare thousands of collectibles from multiple sites at once. It is another handy tool to have in your arsenal for research and price comparison.
Google Image Search

A must-have tool for any reseller. Download the free Google search or Google LENS” app (if you don’t already have it on your phone). Use the image search to take a picture of pretty much anything at any time. We use this all the time to see if any of our thrift store finds are worth picking up, or just to know what the heck it is. 9 times out of 10, you’ll have an answer of what it is and how much it’s going for online within seconds. Even if you don’t see what it’s worth in the search results, you should still find out what it’s officially called. You can then use that information to search your favorite marketplaces to see what it’s selling for.
BrickSeek

BrickSeek is the Internet’s price checker. It can help you find online and in-store deals at the largest retailers in the nation, including Walmart, Target, Lowe’s, and Office Depot. It has a handy Inventory Checker that helps you verify the availability and pricing of items at your local stores. BrickSeek is a great tool if you’re doing “retail arbitrage” of new products.
